to integrate chemicals, equipment, and people into your individual facility
& train your staff to do it the right way
NexGen microfiber is a high performance cleaning material made from a mix of polyester and polyamide. In the most basic of terms, microfiber is plastic. Our microfiber is special because each thread of microfiber is split multiple times to ensure the highest performance is achieved. Each time the fiber is split, it creates hooks that grab onto and hold dirt, debris, and micro-organisms. The more times the fiber is split the more hooks are available to grab and hold particulate. These hooks are also what snags your hands when you pick-up a microfiber product without gloves on. This is also what makes them a superior cleaning tool!
Our microfiber program consists of vibrant colors that lend themselves to a color-coding program. For more information, see “How does color-coding work with mircofibers.”
People ask all the time, “why should I consider microfiber?”Microfiber cleans better; microfiber flat mops are more productive and less fatiguing. In addition, the cost for a microfiber flat mop is less than with traditional mops and microfiber will last for years if properly laundered. The start-up costs can be daunting but typically Return on Investment (ROI) is less than 1 year.
For example, if we use a 300 bed facility as our benchmark and compare traditional string mops to microfiber flat mops, the facility will save 137,000 gallons of water per year and reduce its chemical costs by approximately $33,000 per year. In addition, they will experience reduced labor costs and lower mop replenishment rates due to a longer mop life cycle. On top of that, you will achieve a higher level of clean. Pike Systems can conduct a cost savings analysis for your facility upon request.
NexGen Microfiber meets JCAHO Environmental of Care Standards 1.3, 2.3, 4.0. In addition, microfiber is recommended by the EPA as a best practice for Health Care Facilities.
